How to use EuroScope

Sector File Updates

Go to sector file updates and ensure you have the correct EuroScope version and the latest sector files.

Initial Setup

Open EuroScope, click on Other SET at the top, and disable "Auto Load Last Profile" and "Auto Save Profile on Exit."

Selecting Sector Files

Reopen EuroScope, go to your sector files, and select one of the following:

  • GRP Mode S/GRP Mode [OBS/DEL/GND/TWR] (LTAC, LTAI, LTBJ, LTBS, LTCG, LTFE, LTFH, LTFJ, LTFM)
  • ACC-APP [OBS/DEL/GND/TWR/APP/ACC] (Mainly used for APP/ACC)

Switching Between Airports in GRP

In GRP, use F1 + [number] (e.g., F1 + 1) to switch between airports. Click on the runway sign at the top of EuroScope and select arrival/departure runways.

In ACC-APP, you can view every airport. To see the STAR, click on the runway sign at the top of EuroScope, select the airport, and set arrival/departure runways.

Connecting to VATSIM with EuroScope

To connect to VATSIM in EuroScope, use the following steps:

  • Click on CONNECT at the top left and fill out all the information:
  • Callsign:  [initials (the first letter of ur name)]_OBS (eg. GA_OBS "Gursel ALP_OBS")
  • Certificate: Your CID (eg. 1598381)
  • Password: Your VATSIM password
  • Server: Auto
  • Rating: OBS (if no ATC rating available)
  • Facility: Observer
